In Memorial Wendall Byerly

Wendell W. “Wimpy” Byerly, 88, died Sunday, October 19, 2013 in Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana. 

He was a Union bricklayer for over 50 years retiring in 1991. 

He was born February 27, 1926 in Wells County, Indiana to Henry Clinton and Theo (Barger) Byerly. 

He married Mariellen Walsh on July 14, 1945. 

Wendell is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law Terry W. and Flo Byerly of Angola, Indiana; Rick and Connie Byerly of Indianapolis, Indiana; Don and Carol Byerly of Peoria, Arizona; Patrick and Dawn Byerly of Auburn, Indiana; Joe and Michelle Byerly of Leo, Indiana; two daughters and a son-in-law Cheryl Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Lori and Jeff VanWagner of LaGrange, Indiana; one brother Leon (Mary) Byerly of Ossian, Indiana and a sister Wanda Carper of Auburn, Indiana; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mariellen Byerly on October 22, 2013; three sisters Alta Brubaker, Maxine Smith and Doris Merriman and two brothers Don Byerly and Dale Byerly.
