Thanks to Glenn Head, Dave Serres, Chris Hockemeyer Ken Reiter and several apprentices Eel River Walkway in Columbia City has a new restroom facility. This project was a cooperation between several union trades and IPFW.
Negotiations for the new tile contract are under way, with 3 meetings so far. The brick contractors will meet on April 23 with Local 4's negotiating committee.
Due to the economical times and the fact that the meeting hall's floor still needs to be installed, the Fort Wayne Chapter Annual Awards Banquet is going to be delayed at least until the fall. If you have any questions, call the hall. Fraternally.
Attention all members: David Collins with the International Masonry Institute along with Ken Reiter will be putting on a GROUT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM at the Fort Wayne Union hall and training center. This will take place Tuesday, March 23rd at 8:00 am and take most of the day. Please call Glenn at 260-447-7807 and let him know you plan on attending. This is important certification that you may need if you work on a job that has this in the specs.
